Following the trend of interviews from Leipizg in other languages, the recent Mondes Persistants interview with Tigole was finally translated into English from its native French. While much of the information is a rehashing of what we already know, a few gems are buried amongst the sea of exhausted developer speak.
- Arthas is summoning the heroes to Northrend in order to take control of them, similar to how he was possessed. As such, Death Knights will experience this control first hand before breaking free in their opening event and siding with either the Alliance or Horde.
- Ulduar, related to the lore of the Titans and Uldum, might be one of the raid instances in WotLK.
- The underground land of Azjol'Nerub, home to the Nerubians (or Crypt Fiends), will house a variety of instances.
- Alterac Valley is getting changed. Siege weapons are being considered for it, but until they can see how it pans out with Lake Wintergrasp it'll be an idea on the table.
- Azshara Crater, a battleground that was being developed alongside Alterac Valley, is still on hold.
- The final boss of the new Stratholme Caverns of Time instance will indeed be Mal'ganis. Similar to the actual mission in Warcraft 3, you will be lighting buildings on fire and assisting Arthas in his darkest hour.
- Sunwell Plateau, to be released in patch 2.4, will have both a 25man raid tuned to follow Black Temple and a 5man dungeon with both normal and heroic difficulty settings. The raid will include 6 bosses with Kil'jaeden as the final encounter. It's positioning is intended to allow Alliance players to experience the beautifully crafted Blood Elf zones.
- The Sunwell Plateau instance will also introduce some new daily quests
- As far as graphical upgrades go, the system currently supports overhaul, but the developers would rather do smaller incremental upgrades, such as the weather effects.
