World Of Warcraft: Rogue Concerns Validated?
Not as fearful of a sight as it used to be.
Not as fearful of a sight as it used to be.

A recent post by Dunemaul rogue Volkamar on the EU forums outlines a variety of rogue concerns that have been plaguing the once-popular class since the release of Burning Crusade. While some of the concerns are in regards to things that are commonly considered bugs, such as the ability for pets to track after Vanish, others are much larger problems, like the ease with which rogues can be kited compared to other classes. Further concerns revolve around the reliance on critical strikes that some rogue builds have, which is all but nullified by the introduction of resilience into the PvP world.

While this is not the first time rogue issues have been compiled on the forums, it is one of the first where a blue poster supported the concerns inside. Vaneras responded, letting those concerned know that their concerns have been passed onto the developers.

While it seems that many of the issues revolve around PVP, where rogues seem to have lost their once vaulted number 1 spot, the change to windfury further threatens the DPS meter domination that rogues enjoy. Overall it seems (to this rogue) that the class is caught in the middle of the never ending PvP-PvE balance war that has plagued WoW since the beginning of time.
