Gold selling websites have developed a new way to overcome Blizzard's recent spam prevention tools by forming gold spam website URLs using dead gnome bodies in various capital cities. It was first reported in this post on the US forums, but it has apparently been striking a significant number of realms, leaving many players wondering why the forecast suddenly called for gnomes.

Auryk was quick to respond, stating that the bodies are being cleaned up on affected realms and asking players to not post screenshots of the chaos, as it will just serve as further advertising for these dastardly and creative gold sellers.

I ask that any player that witnesses these to report them straight away. If you feel so inclined, you can also post the realm name, and zone here and I can see what can be done about getting them handled that way. Please, once they are reported, leave the bodies alone, and do not linger around, or huddle near the bodies.
