Could this be the last preview of the year? Only time will tell. With that pressure on the preview, here's a small snippet to test the waters:
The proper pen-and-paper session is all about carefully crafted environments and surprises, and we had a few of those, too. There were times when a perfectly sound-looking stone floor would suddenly crumble under our feet, sending us plunging down into a hitherto unexplored floor... filled with hitherto unencountered zombies, bugs, or other nasties. It's rare that even the best, most flamboyant Dungeon Master can get a whole party of tabletop gamers to yell "WHOA!" with one terrified voice, so there are at least a few aspects of this game that decidedly surpass the original in terms of sheer drama.
Topics range from combat, the HUD, finding quests, as well as partaking in the quests themselves. See how they invoke other titles, such as, "Guild Wars," and, "Diablo," by clicking here.
