The official WoW site is featuring a couple of stories about how parents and kids are playing World of Warcraft together. Here's a snip from one of them:
The game is fun and entertaining, and has helped all three kids. They've learned to focus on problem solving, use a computer, type, interact socially through group dynamics, understand resource management, and set goals, and they have been in daily contact with their grandfather and uncle.
It has made parenting easier for me. All I have to whisper is: "If you don't do as I say, you will miss your next turn on WoW," and I usually find immediate acquiescence. Blizzard is part of our family.
