In the silent darkness, all you know is what you saw before it was dark, and if you don't know that, then anything could be there.

Falx mused on this. He had picked up a book in the tavern and read it, his perfect night vision allowing him to read it in the darkness. It was an interesting metaphor for some of what he could do really, and he rather liked it.

The particular power he was using now was an excellent example. He had somehow learned that he could change what he wore while it was dark. He could wander in wearing anything, and exit wearing anything.

He left the tavern wearing his usual attire of a black reaper-esque robe, with no visible weapons, and climbed up on to the roof. From there, he figured, he should have a clear view of what happens, while still remaining near some shade. As an afterthought, he took an umbrella from the entrance of the tavern, figuring that the owner wouldn't care a great deal, and it barely mattered if he did. It wasn't important anyway, but shade was nice.

Falx sat back to watch the events of the day unfold. He squinted at the beach, trying to make out what was happening...

Meanwhile...

Xandus and his crew had reached the Forbidden Jungle filled with Evil Demons. Remmy collapsed and fell onto the ground.

"Jesus christ..." said Remmy, breathing heavily "It's been three hours since I last had a drink. When the hell are we getting back to the ship tavern?"

"Oh shut it, Remmy." said Xandus

Xandus rolled his map open on a tree stump.

"Alright, we are approximately five kilometers away from the location of the Death's Blade Ninjas." said Xandus "They probably don't have many soldiers at the camp. Reports say they've spread there forces around the island."

"I..I see clouds..." said Remmy "They are shaped like rum. Beautiful, delicious ru...URK!"

Remmy was grabbed by a demonic looking flaming whip, which began dragging him into a dark treeline.

"XANDUS!!!" yelled Remmy "HELP ME..."

The flaming whip entangled itself around Remmy's mouth.

"GACK! URK!"

"Remmy, you need to speak up. I can't hear you." said Xandus, still reading his map

"umm..Xandus?" Adrian say's poking Xandus on his metallic shoulder.

"NOO! Don't let me die sober!" Remmy cried as the fiery whipped dragged him deeper into the jungle. He suddenly reached an open clearing, a large winged demon standing in the middle with a delighted smile. It's massive muscles pulled Remmy up to him, and he picked him up with one hand. Fearing for the worst and thinking quickly, Remmy lunged and bit down hard on the creatures shoulder.

It screamed in pain, throwing Remmy. He landed heavily on the ground, but quickly sprang up.
"Your...your blood..." he muttered, licking the dark-brown liquid around his lips. "It's sooo, sooooo....acoholic!"

Ten minutes later...
"Hey Xandus! I found an excellent selection for our victory party!" Remmy, shirt slightly dirty and hands completely bloodied,shouted as he exited the forest, several of his empty rum bottles now filled with a dark-brown liquid.

"you disgust me....." Adrian said, reaching his hand down to grab a bottle of rum, "but, at least you can find new alcohol source's. you could probably make fuel out of this"

Adrian glances towards Remmy who was currently indulging himself in the mysterious liquor.

"Do you actually do something on this ship or do you just drink?"

Remmy finished his bottle with a giant gulp. He then let out a satisfied sigh before throwing the bottle near Remmy's head.
"I do plenty of things, yah damn Steam Fairy." he growled, eyeing him with a glare.
He then went to look at Xandus' map.
"Sooo, when we getting to this place, anyway? I be thirsting for some battle."

While Fogarty went back to the ship to send for reinforcements, Cyrus and Cairne decided to do some investigating. First, they went to the local tavern. Cairne thinks he sees something on the roof.

"Sir, what is that?" Cairne says, pointing up at a silhouette.

"Looks like a shadow. May be a man." Cyrus tells him.

"Should we check it out, sir?" Cairne asked him.

"Why not. We need to start somewhere." Cyrus says to Cairne.

Cyrus hoists Cairne onto the roof, and Cairne helps Cyrus up. On the roof, they spot a man in a black robe, matching the description Cairne gave. Cyrus noted he had no weapons on him, and they moved in.

"Excuse me sir, we'd like to ask a few questions." Cyrus tells the man in black.

Falx glanced at 2 pirates that had approached him. 1 of them looked quite strong, while the other one didn't look very impressive. He span his umbrella in his hands.

Sir, he thought. These may be hostile, no-one ever calls me sir.

"What about?" he said. "I might not necessarily answer them."

"A few of our men died last night. We are looking for answers." Cyrus tells him.

"There were about 10 of them. All with their throats cut." Cairne explains. "Do you have any idea what happened?"

Ugh, this was getting worse. It's a good thing there seems to be more pirates then ninjas.

Falx stared at them for a minute, deciding his next move, then said "Yeah, I know the man who killed them. Care to follow me?"

He got up, and jumped off the roof, using his umbrella to glide down and land effortlessly. He indicated to the pirates that he was going inside the tavern.

Still treating me with respect. I'm surprised. 17 year olds don't usually seem to get a lot of respect. I wonder if that influenced me at all in what I've decided to do...

He walked inside the door...

Cyrus and Cairne followed the young ninja. They followed him inside the tavern.

As they entered, Falx walked over and shut the door. The tavern became shrouded nearly completely in darkness, and these pirates could be dealt with as Falx saw fit.

He immediately drew his sickle out from the darkness, and tore it across the weaker one's eye. He screamed in pain, and dropped to the floor. The other pirate looked around wildly.

He caught him around the neck with his sickle, and felt him tense.

"Don't look for me. I can destroy you so easily.

But killing pirates isn't what I want to do right now. Leave here, and concentrate on winning your stupid war." The voice was more of a hiss in the darkness.

He span the man, who was helpless and knew it, back around to face the door, and moved the man's hand to the handle. Then a thought struck him.

"Wait a minute." He walked over to the weaker one, still lying on the floor in pain, and dragged him over. He placed his collar in the man's free hand.

"Ok, you can go now." The pirate left quickly. Falx turned around at the sound of a whimper, and saw that he had forgotten about the owner. He kicked the door shut again, and walked towards him with his sickle...

Cyrus took Cairne out of the tavern. He was bleeding profusely from where the ninja tore his eye out.

"Look on the bright side. Now you look like a pirate." Cyrus tells Cairne to keep his spirits up. Cyrus hears what he thinks is a laugh. He brings Cairne to a local doctor, who is, as he should have expected, a robotic man. It uses some kind of light to stop the bleeding, and places a gauze over the wound. Cairne and Cyrus go back to the ship. Fogarty sees them approaching.

"What in God's green Earth happened to him?" Fogarty asked them.

"Damn ninja. The one that killed our crew. Tore out his eye." Cyrus tells him. "Did you send for reinforcements yet?"

"Yes sir. They will be here in a week." Fogarty reports to him.

"Good. We'll get back at that bastard."

Examining the blood on his sickle, he considered whether he shouldn't have just killed them. This might put those pirates off the war, and make them focus on him instead. He needed a way to make himself seem a hazard to both parties.

He was a hazard to both parties of course, but so far he had only gone after pirates. He needed to be seen killing ninjas. This may make things worse possibly, but if he framed the pirates from the ninjas point of view, and the pirates got preoccupied with the counterattack and didn't have time for neutral (well, sort of) parties, he should be ok.

Now where can I find a ninja to kill? he thought, as he decided this was the best course of action. The damn things hide so much...

HA! As if that would put him off. Ninjas hide in the shadows of course, and that was hardly an obstacle for Falx. He was at his very best in the shadows after all...

"OY! XANDUS!" Remmy shouted into Xandus' ear. "DID YOUR AUDIO BREAK DOWN AGAIN?! CAN YOU HEEEAAAR MEEEE? We going to attack the village or what?"

"Um, what?" said Xandus, who had blacked out for a second "Yes, of course we are going to attack the village..."

Xandus looked around, trying to find the village. He eventually spotted a small village below a valley, which was filled with people.

"There it is!" said Xandus

Xandus pulled out his claymore and raised it in the air.

"CHARGE!!!"

"FINALLY!" Remmy cried, drawing his katana and sword.
"FOR BLOOD AND GLORY!" he bellowed as he raced into the village.

"GRAAAH!" Remmy continued shouting, running head first into the village.

10 seconds later
*Boom!* "aaaaAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhh_hhhh...."

5 Minutes of Trekking Back
"Okay, two things. One: We should totally make a ride with cannons! Two: They have a freaken huge cannon." Remmy said to the group, dropping a massive black, metal ball he was carrying.

The three pirates went back into town the next day. Cairne decided against an eyepatch, and decided to pull his headband around the exposed eye socket. They wanted some practice for the Shadow Demon, as they began calling the one who killed their men and took Cairne's eye. They found a group of ninjas harassing some samurai.

"Kill all of them." Cyrus issued as an order.

"Aye aye, sir." Fogarty confirmed.

Fogarty moved in close, being a fire-arms expert, and fired a blunderbuss into the crowd. The shot hit 2 men, injuring them. It also got their attention. Cairne and Cyrus rushed down, Cyrus wielding his rapier, which he called Elizabeth, and Cairne with a falchion. Cyrus quickly struck down a ninja, and put an injured samurai out of his misory. Cairne swung his large blade at a ninja, nearly taking his head clean off. Fogarty fired a rifle at the crowd, killing a samurai with a headshot. After that, the remaining samurai and ninjas fled, each going in different directions.

"Good show. Your getting good with that sword, young man." Cyrus told Cairne.

"Thank you, sir. I hope to use it on the man who took my eye." Cairne replied, hate in his eyes.

Falx was once again on the roof of the inn with the umbrella propped up. He had been surprised by the enormous cannon that had been used against that apparently drunk pirate. He had never thought that ninjas would actually use cannons, and had assumed it was merely there from before the ninjas took over. The pirates seemed to be planning something different after they had found that out, as they hadn't yet emerged. Either that or it was just a lone pirate who had drunk too much.

Today, Falx wasn't feeling too worried about anything. He had found out that there were fewer ninjas then he had thought, and so the pirates could do with trimming if he wanted a draw between the two sides. The pirates never bothered to hide though, so that would be easy to do.

He suddenly noticed the two pirates he had ambushed were heading in his direction. He had hoped to avoid this, but those idiots were apparently still focused on attacking him. He decided to help them resist temptation, as he still didn't want those ones dead, although he supposed he could kill them if he had to.

Then his eyes widened. One of the pirates, one that hadn't been with them before, held a musket. He hated muskets. They were unpredictable, and annoyingly loud. He determined that he would kill that one if he had the option.

He got up, and floated down the back of the tavern with the umbrella. He knew they could see him from this range anyway, and didn't bother to hide the fact that he was doing it. It was quite dark there, with the shade tavern provided giving him a decent advantage at least. He wasn't at the same advantage that he would be in if he actually went into the tavern, but it should be enough. And just in case, he had something special prepared...

"Erm, excuse me? Hi," Sam said, sneaking up behind the one known as Fogarty. "You shouldn't go around getting involved in things that don't concern you." He punched Fogarty in the face, then grabbed him by the shoulder and but a kunai against his throat. "That ninja you just killed? His name was Zaku. I really, really liked him," Sam continued, plunging the kunai into Fogarty's throat, then pulling it out and stabbing him in the chest with it. "Those samurai weren't nice people. They were harassing some women earlier, and that ain't cool, you know? Maybe next time you'll think a bit before taking a shot at a ninja... oh," he stopped short and noticed that Fogarty had bled to death. He glanced up and saw a couple of pirates running towards him. "I should probably go..." he muttered to himself, turning and starting to run.

The Pirate spun around and saw the strange man, who had appeared out of a flash of green light. He looked just like a regular Ninja, except for those glasses. They were covered in zeros, with a circle of ones where, he assumed, his eyes were. on his hip were two strange contraptions that looked dangerous. Those were the last thing he saw before the man grabbed his head and twisted.

Alex Morrison grabbed the poor bastard's head and twisted. Excellent. Now time for my real job. He walked over to the ship at the dock. He looked behind him and saw quite a struggle going on in the town and hoped none of his fellow Ninja would get harmed. (He was wrong.) He turned his head back to the ship and walked onto it. The pirates on deck stared at him like he was a ghost or something. He pulled the SMG's off his waist, two silenced MP7s, and started firing. Every Pirate standing there was dead in three seconds. He went down to the Cargo Hold, and saw what he wanted. 30 million dollars worth of Pirate gold. Attaching a tracing pellet to it, it went back to the year 2129, sending with it a note saying, "Here's the funds you guys needed. I hope you like it." Alex, however, did not hope they liked it, as he didn't even want to do this in the first place. Killing he was fine with, but stealing? Not so much. He ran down to the town ready to support whatever Ninja were down there and get that under control. Little did he know, he would soon be plunged into something not even the all the Ninja themselves could control.

Meanwhile, at the village...

"How are suppose to take out that huge cannon?!" yelled Remmy

"Leave it to me." said Xandus

Xandus raised his arm into the air. The arm opened up, revealing a missile. Xandus fired the missile at the giant cannon, destroying it.

"Now! Charge them!" yelled Xandus

Xandus and the rest of his pirates charged the village. A group of people appeared in front of them holding swords. The pirates shot and stabbed the people who were in their way. Xandus grabbed one by the neck.

"Surrender now, Ninja scum!" said Xandus "I may spare your life."

"Ninja scum?" said the man "We aren't ninjas. We're pirates!"

"....oh." said Xandus

Xandus turned to his crew, who were brutally killing the villagers.

"Uh, guys..." said Xandus "It turns out this is a pirate camp."

"Wait, so we aren't killing them and drinking their blood?" asked Remmy

Xandus turned to the man.

"Sorry about that. We didn't know you we're pirates." said Xandus "Let me ask you this though, why were you firing you're cannon at us?"

"We thought you were ninjas!" said the man

"Hey, do we look like bloody ninja's to you!" Remmy angrily demanded, waving his katana near the pirates nose.
"Ummm....actually, you do look familiar. Yeah! You look like that one ninja dude, what's his name, Benj-"
"I DON'T KNOW WHO YOU'RE TALKING BOUT AND IT'S NOT SOMETHING THAT REALLY IS INTERESTING ENOUGH TO TALK ABOUT!" Remmy shouted through grit teeth, grabbing the pirate and throwing him into the nearest house.
"Okay, soooooo....now what?" Remmy asked, calm again and looking at Xandus.

Alex walked into the village and immediately felt a strange hunch that something was up. Despite the fact that there had been an incredible struggle, there were no corpses piled up, no blood spilt on the ground, not even one molecule of gore. Unfazed by this, however, he walked into the local bar.

"I'd like a small glass of sake, please." said Alex.

"Coming righ' up."

Alex immediately saw that something was up with his accent, which sounded strangely like a Pirate's. He looked around, and saw that quite a few people were staring, waiting for something. He heard a tap on the table, and saw that his drink was here. He took a sip, carefully, and figured it wasn't poisoned. Then he saw it. As the bartender walked into the back room, he saw Ninja corpses nailed to a wall, their blood draining into pails beneath them. He looked back into his drink and saw a small blade floating in it. Then he heard a bang. He slowed down time using the device in his pocket, and caught the musket ball in his hand. Speeding time back up, he flipped backwards out of his chair, slitting a pirate's throat with the blade from the drink and landed on a table. He then saw more guns pointing at him. He kicked a gun out of one of their hands and firmly planted the cocking mechanism in said Pirate's head. Then he pulled out his Katana and sliced one of them in half, but it was too late. A hammer smashed into his head, and before he went unconscious, he heard one of them say something.

"Have fun with our interrogator. Im sure you'll get along fabulously."

"So, what's your name?" Xandus asked the man

"My name is Captain Shanks." said the man "We are the survivors of the Death's Blade ninja attack on the east beach."

"Survivors?" said Xandus "I didn't know there we're any survivors."

"Well you see, the Brethren Court wanted to cover it up, so they said we were all dead." said Captain Shanks

"Cover what up?" asked Xandus

Suddenly, gunshots and screaming was heard from the village bar.

"SHANKS! COME QUICK! THERE'S A MATRIX NINJA HERE!"

Alex woke up in a dark, moldy room strapped to a rack. He saw, standing next to him, that there was a man wearing a long, hooded robe.

"Where am I? Who are you? What did you do with my stuff?"

"Relax," said the man. "We're going ta' to have a jolly good time. First, tell me: where did you come from?"

"If you think I'll tell you, I-ARGH!" began Alex, But the man had tightened the rack and caused him extreme pain. "All right! I'll tell you, just please let me live! My name is Bond. James Bond. I work for Her Majesty's Secret service. My codename is 007, the guy who makes my equipment's codename is Q, and my leader's codename is M. I come from Britain, time period 1969. I came here to research these times. I've told you what I know, now please let me be!

"Uh... so you're not going ta' struggle or anythin'? Ah' righ', you can go." The man then unstrapped Alex from the rack and gave him his equipment back. "Just don't let me see you do anything to us pirates again, mmkay?"

"I won't." Let you see. God, pirates are idiots.

After spending a few minutes at the local tavern and making a good profit with his Devil's Rum, Remmy went out with his pockets full of cash and his hands holding a bottle of rum each.
"AHH, life be grand!" he shouted to the world in general. He spotted a ninja with odd spectacles.
Feeling in a good mood, he called out the that man. "OY! Pajama-man! Celebrate with a happy pirate, why don't cha?!"

Oh, why not. Might as well, I really want to forget that inquisitor's HORRENDOUS face.

Alex walked over to the happy looking pirate, who handed him one of the bottles. He took it, and had a long swig. The next morning, they were both found unconsious on the floor with empty rum bottles in their hands. As he woke up, Alex popped a Chaser tablet from his Medikit. Instantly, his vision cleared, his headache went away, and he was able to stand on his own two feet. He walked out of the bar, wondering, "How the HELL does a ninja get along with a pirate?" He then set out to talk to the local Ninja clan, maybe get some answers as to how those pirates knew he was coming. And maybe pick up a Ninja chick as well...

Xandus sat down at a table. Across from him was Captain Shanks.

"So, how did the interrogation go?" asked Shanks

"Excellent, I managed to convince that Matrix ninja to stop killing pirates once and for all."

"That's good news indeed." said Shanks

"So..." said Xandus "What did you mean when you said 'the Brethren Court wanted to cover it up'? What did they want to cover up?"

"Me and my crew were sent on a mission from the Brethren Court to recover and ancient relic from the Tomb of Rhaghar." said Shanks

"Rhaghar?" said Xandus "Isn't he that famous warrior who mastered the way of the pirate and the way of the ninja?"

"Indeed. We had been sent to locate his tomb and recover an ancient relic from within." said Shanks "However, the location of the tomb had been lost for centuries. We were told that we may find out where the tomb was if we starting digging near the Forbidden Jungle filled with Evil Demons. We set up a digsite there, and uncovered this."

Shanks pulled out a book, which had Japanese writing on it.

"We believe this is the 'Shadow of Enlightenment', the book which will help us locate the Tomb of Rhaghar. However, the book is written in Japanese, so we don't understand a damn thing it says."

Shanks put the book away.

"Shortly after we found the book, the Death's Blade ninjas attacked our digsite. We believe that they were after the book, so they could find the Tomb of Rhaghar."

As Alex walked down a street, he overheard a coversation going on. It had something to do with Rhaghar.

"But Rhaghar has been dead for some time," he mused. "They must be drunk. Similar to me, circa 10 o'clock last night."

Alex kept walking and then found a building written in ancient- to him, at least- secret Ninja text, which read, "Secret Ninja community center. Do not disturb." He walked in and saw an elderly Ninja master.

"What do you need, young man?"

"I come from the future. I wish to know how the Pirates who captured me knew I would be there."

"A Matrix Ninja. Haven't seen one of them in a while. Very well, I will tell you. Remember that treasure you took?"

"Yes..." Said Alex, quite ashamedly.

"Well, you probably heard a bird chirping loudly as you walked out. That was the ship's unique signal to other Pirates that the ship was being hijacked."

"Now that you mention it, I did hear one. Those Pirates are a crafty bunch. Oh well."

Alex began to walk out, but a slender female Ninja tapped him on the shoulder.

"Hey there. You come here often?"

History:Possibly the only living member of a Ninja clan that was killed off by the Crew of the Kraken Slayer and has become a traveling mercenary to sharpen his skills in order to avenge his clans death.He has seen and fought many battles during his travels and has decided to try to make a contract with the Death's Blades ninja clan in order to test his strength.

Maybe I made this sheet way too long .__. oh well im too lazy to shorten it =P
