What is it i hear that a tauren will be able to switch to the alliance at higher levels granted its cool but i was wondering if anyone else heard this or if it was just another bogus rumor

If that is true than I think Humans should be able to swtich to the Horde at higher levels.   That would be cool as well.

No, Tauren can not join Alliance. At this time, there is no way to switch factions nor have I heard there will be a way. Blizzard seems to be keeping factions pretty seperate, with not being able to speak to them or mail them at all.

Yes, it may be a rumor. I also heard something like this quite awhile ago when things were still in CB. What I heard was that Blizzard will sometime make it possible for an Alliance born or Horde born character to some day switch sides. But it would be very hard to do and take some time because you would have to build up trust (i.e. reputation) with the opposite side. I'm not sure if the rumor is completely false or just something that will be implemented later on. (Personally I think it'd be really cool if it was. :GRIN: )

you have to remember that the tauren are bound to the orcs.  the tauren in ROC pledged their aleigance to the far seer dude and became a part of the horde and in W3 they were actually troops for the orcs.

I suppose you'd first have to learn the opposing faction's language.  Then there's the option to be a spy or a collaberator.  If you're a spy, you would try to keep your reputation high with your home faction but would be a target for the faction you were helping.  If you were a collaborator, you'd be fighting alongside the faction you support.  I guess this could be done with quests but it would take some fancy role-playing or skilled pvp to make it work.

Neeh, all alliance is KOS by Horde. How are they supposed to gain reputation? There is not even a bar for it in the reputation status.

I think it would be cool for a Horde member to be part of the Alliance of vice versa.

Everyone is independant and unique to their character so wouldnt you say there could be those of Horde who do not think they are fighting for the right cause and decide to switch over to the Alliance and fight for their cause?

This should be solely based on the players perspective. Some sort of long and tedious process should be set up to allow members to switch sides. This would bring some interesting PVP battles and new PVE battles with the different profession sets available given your race.

That would be a cool concept, I was disappointed that it's strictly black and white and theres no shades of grey. Your either Alliance or Horde, you can't be neutral.

The only shade of grey would be the druids. They have a little homeland above auberdeen in which tauren and night elves live alongside eachother peacefully. But other than that, there is and will be absolutely no way to switch factions. Why else would they make you choose only one faction on PVP servers?

you cant switch factions, and if you would be able to, the humans wouldnt be able to switch, and same with the orcs, because they hate each other so much.
