Adventurer Posts: 496 Joined: 29 Oct 2003 | I've never actually played an rpg where there even WERE night elves, much less one where they were immune to sickness. Elves in d&d weren't even immune to sickness, and that is probably the closest thing. They were immune to certain enchantment spells, but I doubt that will carry over into WoW because its a pretty powerful thing and they already have shadowmeld.

Apprentice Posts: 5 Joined: 30 Jul 2004 | well i dont think in otehr games they called em "night elves" they would call em dark elves or drow's. i think blizzard once all the otehr movies and games came out with orcs and stuff when they add'd the elvesthey wanted to be a bit creative and call em night elves because personally i have never heard em called night elves befor warcraft. i might be wrong but thats what i think |

Adventurer Posts: 232 Joined: 16 May 2004 | WoW is not d&d. Lineage II is closer to d&d+anime. But WoW has it's own history. You can only compare WoW with its offline predecessors and Night Elves with Warcraft III. From what I've seen, Night Elves are reasonably portrayed in WoW from Warcraft III. Speaking from experience with a NE Druid, there is an emphasis on healing spells which might mitigate for a disease immunity. Certainly, my toon scoffs at most poison attacks from mobs. Apparantly there are no such things as elves, so there's no point ascribing characteristics or principles to races in particular mmorpg games.... although I understand the sentiment.

In almost any rpg i have played NE are immune to sickness, then wouldnt they be immune to the dieses spell?
