what type of elf would you rather have in the expansion, aside from what seems more reasonable to the story line, High elves or Bloood Elves?

Probably High Elves so i would not be addicted to magic. Don't want to run around all day finding more sources of magic to surivive. I was in a hurry

hehe it's the blood elves that ARE addicted to magic and hungers after it...that's why they joined Illidan in the first place, to quench their thirst for magic =]

In expansions they might not add just blood elves or high elves, but dryads, cenarius spawns, goblins, demons (like the pitlord), ogres, halflings (like the beast master in Warcraft III The frothen throne), naga, and pandaren.

Tell you the truth I would like to see more races on release. Even a few more classes, althought I think its a slim chance =(

i think there is pleanty, with each race's class being seperate, there are like 30 things to choose from

I do wish that the races would be a bit more unique than just choice of class.  I think the number of races is enough because the idea is to make it easier for beginners to start playing and not get bogged down in choosing a character.

I think that for the beggining of the game there are enough races to play with, more races'll be cool but i'm sure they'll develop then in the future.

Id like to see high elves come out , either in a future expansion or on release, which is highly doubtful.

Aorn there are still High Elves in the WOW they have fled with Jaina to Theramore Island.

I wouldn't say there's too many of them left though, the majority of them stayed back and fougt the legion in Lordareon and lost the battle. The majority of them is Blood elves now, but you are correct there still might be a few High elves who left with Jaina Proudmoore to Theramore Island.

Yes, I too doubt there are many left to make a race (if a new elf race comes its obviously blood elves) but they might be important quest givers on Theramore Island, or maybe give secrets about their past homelands.  Im just guessing though.

High elves and blood elves both are different races.  High Elves live on the shores of Kalimdor and Theramore Isle.  The Blood Elves live in Outland.  Completly different races now, as blood elves start to mutate.

Where did you find out that they start to mutate?

Well we haven't seen any mutations yet but im guessing they will look different later, the only real difference between them now is their thirst for magic not skin or body

The Blood Elf ears and eyebrows are also longer than those of the High Elves.

That just means the High Elves cut their eyebrows and the Blood Elves don't.

The mutation is more of a theory.  If you look at the orcs and draenei, you see corruption.  Draenei used to look like actual humans, similar in appearance.  The corruption from the burning legion corrupted their looks changing them into twisted creatures even though they didn't touch the demons powers directly.  The Blood Elves are taking more energies from the burning legion than both Draenei and Orc so you can expect blood elves to start mutating such as Illidan.

i am expecting to see night elves with purple skin, high elves with white skin, and Blodd elves with red skin.

Maybe Blood Elfs will go looking more like Satyrs, for they are NE who are corrupted and mutated by the Legion. By the way, the Orcs barely mutated, they must be a very strong race then

I am a bit unsure if the Blood elves will be granted the Demonic energy after their failure at the Icecrown, besides Illidan mutated because of Gul'dan's skull which he absorbed, I think there is a huge difference drawing magic from demons and from such a powerful being as Gul'dan.

Yes orcs barely mutated, but the blood elves will surely mutate, even if it is only minor mutation.  We probably wont see blood elves with wings such as gul'dan, but we will see horns and hooves and claws.  Blood elves will become feral, demonic creatures because of Kil'jaedan's powers that he pushes into the blood elves.

What you describe are simply pelt less Satyrs.

i am interested to see how Blizzard adds them into the game.  becouse they would be a great 3rd faction with them, Naga, and maybe drani, or demons or somthing.  but then that doesnt leave anywhere for the scourge to some in. maybe there will be 4 factions in expansion, but, i dougt it. if it is then the factions may be as following

Aliance:human dwarf gnome night elf

Horde: Orc Troll Tauren Forsaken

Legion: elf, Naga, Drani, Satyrs

Scourge: Cultist Humans (necromancers and nights and such), Nejerub(Spider men, forgive i forget correct term) Skeletons (like lich from WC3) and who knows on a 4th race, i cant think of anything right now. this probiby wont happen though, so, i guess i am just wasting memory from the site.

Well, to be perfectly honest, i doubt that High Elves or Blood Elves will come out as a playable race in the future. The High Elves are mostly dead. As for the blood elves, they are all chillin in Outland. All of the blood elves thrist for magic, and therefore stay together; so its doubtful you would have a lone blood elf roming around Azeroth alone. Im sure that the High Elves and Blood Elves will be NPC's and nothing more. But, i could be wrong, and it certainly would be cool to play as a High or Blood elf.

I can't see why Illidan shouldn't return. Azeroth is the focal point of a great conflict, it's the mountain top. Illidan is massing a great army at the foot of this mountain. I'm pretty sure he'll try to get to the top. And his races will come with him. That's my opinion though

Be nice, Gandolf.

Sarcasm isn't a crime, it's just humor in this situation.  Alternately, if you were being sarcastic, perhaps you could have thrown in a ;) or something to get that across... textual voice inflection doesn't really work unfortunately...

Im totally not trying to bug you on your uality at all, but, i thought gay people were offended if the term "gay" was used as a put down.
