Im currently a level 19 about to be 20 war. and sence im not that far down on my talant tree ive been putting up 2h axes and swords because i dont know which one i want to use. From what ive seen 2h axes have more overall damage. and 2h swords have better speed. I was wondering what is better for pvp and raids later in the game 2h sword or axe?

AXE for the pvp

Raids...if you aren't using your shield and one hander ....you will be flamed by everyone in raid till you do.

But arms/fury spec  is awsome...Arcanite Reaper axe is god awful to be on the receiving end in pvp.

In raids you will be in defense stance mostly and using that shield.

Axe is great....but 2 handed weapn skilling up of all types is good idea... as for single handed....i really dont see any difference just use whats best at the time.

The great thing about being a Warrior right now is they are awesome at both damage dealing and tanking.  Even if you spec for DD you'll still be a very capable tank.

Yah warriors carry two sets of armor.

Tanking armor- Hish stamina

Pvp armor consisting of high agil plate...for criting.

I would also look at talents here. Later on in the tree there are weapon specializations. See which ones you like better. I think Axe spec gives you a bonus to crit, while Sword spec gives a bonus to another attack. For me, I love crits, so I'm Axe all the way.

Some, however, would argue that extra attacks is like a crit. I'm not so hot at the math, so I just shrug and take what I know. But remember to get used to two styles (at least) - one 2H weapon for solo, groups, PvP and assisting; one 1H weapon and shield for groups, raiding and instances; dual wielding (if you want) for going crazy and having fun.

Cheers,
