From levels 1-15 I dont buy anything....i just use drops I find. Warriors blossom after lvl 20. Once you put points into armsman tallents... little impatient for seeing results....all lowbee levels are just training levels. Eq2-burned the Dvd |
Apprentice Posts: 4 Joined: 19 Sep 2005 | Thanks, valewalker, perhaps i am a little impatient. I had some of the same thoughts as above but it still seems strange that a 7x more expensive weapon in the same class yielded no significant improvement in damage. Is a 2 handed hammer affected by different modifiers than a 2 handed mace? I thought they were in the same weapons class. thanks again macrae |

Money will build up fast enough just play casually. Enjoy everything you can as you level to the top. Try out the quests and unfold the content. If I told you what I paid for my axe you would shit yourself.....be prepared with toilet paper.
200 gold =p Thats nothing either....Ive spent 2k gold in one day ....you have plenty of time to learn the market...and craft...farm ingredients. Do not make 60 your driving goal...make exploring the game and adventuring to 60 the goal....trust me you will thank me......power gaming here is just a fast way to burn out. Warrior changes comming in patch 1.8 and for the better. Remember train your axe skill in ogrimmar valley of honor district.....undercity warrior district for other weapon talents. Level 2 handed weapons like Axe ,Sword,Mace...level sword or hand axe (single hand) ... Warriors are extremely gear dependent...and for pvp you would use 2 handed weapns...Tanking super mobs you will be using shield and sword, axe, mace. Remember in groups my noobie pointers: Dont follow the rogue into the other room hes checking....Dont use charge in instances unless you are perfectly able to see whats up ahead...last thing you want is to charge into a mob then see aruond the corner 5 more looking dead at you. Parties will want you often....try to be the party protector ...your goal is to make the mobs hate you only. SO they stick to you like glue.....anyway....take your time....enjoy the game...there is MUCh to see. Eq2-burned the Dvd |

Ok, so I rolled a tauren warrior and bought him a cheap 2hand mace, which i equipped immediately- apparently tauren warriors don't have to train for 2hand maces- and set about grinding to level 5. At level five my crappy 4-6 damage 2hand mace was doing 20 average damage against level 5 wolves near the tauren starting village. When I had saved enough money, still at level 5 I equipped a wooden mallet whose damage is listed as 10-16 and cost me seven silver pieces, all my money in the world. Now against level 5 wolves i still only do around 22 damage per hit. Against every other mob i've tested these two weapons on i get the same result- average damage is almost exactly the same. What the hell? Shouldn't my damage have doubled at least? does blizzard know about this foolishness? If I can get some help I'll appreciate it.
thanks
