I need to make a new character

For a bit now I have been playing on my brothers computer with a tauren shammy with skinning and leatherworking.
Lately my brother has been a real jerk and said I can't play on his computer any more, even when he doesn't use it.
Now I spent a while building a character, which I really liked, which is now trapped in my brothers account.
I have lately built a good enough computer and tommorrow will be getting my own WoW and account, but this still means I have a lvl25 character that is useless.
Now I am looking forward to building another character but am afraid that it will become repetetive and boring haveing to build a whole new character.

Should I stick with the build I liked or choose a different character and proffesion? I once played an undead warrior but after a week of playing that character I didn't like it.

I really did like my shammy tauren and will miss it greatly. She was a pretty girl, never let me down...*tear...

Anyone liked shammy but also really liked another strong proffession? I really liked tauren but I think if I have to level another character of the same race I'd shoot myself.

If you can help thanks, I'm considering doing alliance since if I do horde again it will be pretty much the same landscape that I played with my tauren.

If you can help thanks.
ps. This would be so much easier if I could do account transfers.

Like they say, stick with the one you love. Id start another shammy if you enjoyed playing the class so much. Shammies are a really powerful class, and a real joy to play.

Heres an idea, you say you liked the character and class, but dont want the process to be too repetitive. Why not roll an Orc or Troll Shammy? That way you will have a whole new begginers set of quests to do that will be completely new. I mean, once you get to the Barrens it will be kinda repetitive for a few levels, but not mind-numbingly boring.

So, imo, i would roll another shammy, different race.

As far as professions, Skinning and leatherworking is a good profession for a Shaman. However, Shamans can use Mail armor once they reach level 40, so you might find yourself not needing that. To add another speck of non-repetitivness(sp?), maybe go with Mining/Engineering or Enchanting with a gathering profession (mining, herbalism, skinning). If you liked leatherworking, by all means choose that, it is a very good skill to learn. But if your loking for something new, id take a whack at some of those.

Hope this helps :) Good luck !

Yeah but the barrens are huge. I'll spend hours doing everything over again. Anyone know any alliance proffessions that I would like if I liked shammy?

Hmmm. I have all jobs but druid lvl 20+ at one time or another...rerolled so often heh.

Anywho...I find shaman to be OK...mediocre for me.  I never liked it.  I just didnt like them at all.

I didnt like my warrior till level 20+ you get better skills by that point. And armors are better. But escapabillity with adds on mobs can be frustrating. But you would always find an instance group thats for sure.

Everyclass has there finer points some better than others.  What did you like about shaman?

Hunters are a fun class....Rogues wtfpwn mobs ....mages are great.....i had fun on 99% of the classes.

I myself love my rogue. In comparison to other jobs. The rogue can do quests solo better than others to be honest.  I leveld far faster ...escaped death many times....crawled into places I had no business beign with him.

I would look at hunter class....very strong in the ranged.....very.  Hardly any downtime between pulls too.

If you do remake a shaman,at level 10 just go to silverpine forest in Eastern KIngdoms.  Smaller zone and you can level up to level 20 there.  Also Brill has quests for you at level 5-10 range. The only thing is homepoint in Ogrimmar...so every 2-3 levels teleport back to train...

I leveled my  hunter and shaman from Deathknell to  tarren mills.....not once in barrens...but I did visit ogrimmar by boat often to train.

Thanks, maybe I will stick wiht horde and check out hunters and rogues. For those what is the best skills? Like skinning or mining? I know with shaman skinning and leatherworking were a given because shammys wear leather but what do hunters and rogues do best with?

I think I'll be a troll because I was undead which was ok then I was tauren, which I loved, and I played my brothers orc. Trolls are the next step.

All professions are nice. What do you wana do...?

you see shamans wear leather till 40 then it is all chainmail. SO leather only applies so much to the class.

Tuaren have herbal skills so alchemy is a good path. Usefull on all jobs.

Rogues- If you play on PVP, engineering but is hard to get up there but so very usefull. Very...you could do alchemy keep yourself supplied with potions, speed pots, rememedy pots, make some money also. Smithing you can make great money. Make some nice weapons later on. Sell ores....

See what IM getting at....all professions have nice things that can apply to everyone...even plate wearer doing skinning....you can make armor kits....and profit form the rare recipes .

As for rogues:  The normal template is Assasination/Subtle build rogues....ill go find a link to my descriptions list...its not perfect but in the ballpark.

The templates I dont know by heart. But I do have a description of Rogues here:

Well you seem to have an idea what you wana test out. I say follow what you feel like doing. You seem to have an idea what you would love to do.

Undead class specifically have advantages...Will of teh Forsaken is #1 reason they are the better rogues....Something you may not know is Priests all have racial based spells.  reason UD Priests are the best in many opinnions is they get an extra Instant Cast DOT spell.  Shadow Priest UD casting those 2 dots can devastate people.

PVP people polled on VN voted:
Shadow Priest Undead to be very very lethal and hard to kill.

Whats most important is What kind of server are you gona be playing on.  Normal vs PVP...the talent trees will adjust.  For example  Shamans on PVE some use Enhanced/Restoration build for sub tanking and party support.

On pvp once they hit 60 they put alot into Elemental, some in Enhanced and Restore.

It really depends on the server type you are on...PVP has its own environment and we build for killing eachother...vs PVE.

Speaking from experience, Hunters are a lot of fun. I have a Troll hunter, very interesting class to play.
