okay, i have a lovely lvl 18 rogue. (i'm truly enjoying playing her)..

i saw that i have to buy a lockpick set. okay, can do that. (where? i haven't seen any for sale) and do i need to get a skill or anything?

and where can i locate good beginner lock boxes? and i'm on the alliance side. night elf.

Try an engineer at about lvl 100 they can make practice locks (and once in a while you'll see one in AH.

lock pick you can buy from any poison vendor ifyo uare in IF go to the very back the F caverns and talk to the shady dealer. for your beginner lock boxes go to Lake Shire and talk to teh guys on the Dock they will send you off to do a quest.

Well, if you do a rogue quest at 16 in Redridge Mountains(not sure exactly where it starts) it'll give you a free Thieve's Tool, the quest sends you to Alther's Mill in Redridge. There you find a box you cannot open yet unless your skill is high enough. Therefore you must open the practice lockboxes around the big box to up your skill in lockpicking. From the practice locks you can get around to 80 with you lping skill. Then just open the bigger box and turn your quest in, now you have a free thieve's tool, and your lockpicking is around 80. Hope that helps. :) (If you lose your thieve's tool it can be bought from a Shady Dealer for 15 silver.)

pshaw! i can make practice locks but cant find mats ANYWHERE!!!! BLIZZ!!!!! I DONT NEED FRIGGIN' COPPER BARS ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the theives tools u buy from the guy near the rogue trainer, and for horde there is a machine that gives out free ones in ratchet
