Using swords with a combat build will give you consistent dps, while using daggers with an assasination build will give you higher burst dps. If you want to keep using daggers and your backstab, you may want to consider redistributing your talents into the Assasination tree. There are some very useful talents in the combat tree that you will probably still want to keep, such as Improved Sinister Strike and Improved Gouge. Those being some of your most used abilities. Another thing you may want to consider is the lack of good daggers at the lower levels. Maybee it's just me but I've always had a hard time finding good daggers. |

From there I would start filling out the assassination tree up to lethality. Lethality, Opp and Imp BS are the core of every daggers build, where you go from there is up to you. As for a good dagger try to pick up a Toxic Revenger in Gnomergon once you get closer to 30. I leveled my rogue to 60 with daggers just fine, swords is just a little faster because a sword rogue doesn't need to waste time stunning or gouge to get behind the target, making them grind faster.

True but without a stun lock and wearing leather armor you will get beat down pretty good. especially once you get to outlands. my problem was that i couldnt find decent swords to use for the combat tree so i stuck with daggers and its been really good. fast leveling. yes you do have to learn to play them right but once you do can really do some serious damage. stealth, cheap shot, wait, mutilate, kidney shot, mutilate, gouge, backstab, evis. = DEAD! |

I have a lvl 20 rogue atm, and i am looking for a good build for me to be able to quest/lvl and to PvP occasionally (on a PVE server). I am currently using a combat build with improved gouge and ss working towards parry and riposte. I also use 2 daggers.
Could anyone recommend me a lvling/pvp build for a lvl 20-30 to work towards and also recommend me some decent daggers for future use?? or should i go for swords??
