Hello All,

  I just wanted some advice about a bit of a problem with my preiest character.  You see I'm in China and they ONLY have the Chinese version of WOW.  The problem is that I can't read Chinese and therefore I'm in the world blind basically.  I wander around helplessly and hope I do something right.  My Friends don't have the time or the energy to translate everything as we play.  What I need to find is some kind of manual with lots of pictures since none of the names of things or places relate to me.  Does anyone have a starting point where I could look without spending massive amounts of time (and headaches) trying to piece little clues together?  :EVIL:  Thanks a bunch!

UM - i dont know how the web is in other countries being the lazy non careing for the rest of the world amercian ( i went to japan  but didnt use the net ) if you can see the web in english which i am am assuming you can - then try thottbot.com   - (i dont know if i can post that link here but if i cant dont ban me just tell me and i never will again-) But on that site you will see icons of what you see in game and what lvl stuff is so you might beable to compare pictures and lvls - etc

I am an Alliance healer at level 33 so far.  Mostly Holy since many of my Chinese friends tank for me.

As for the internet...yes I can access it in English but it's hard trying to compare what I know from the game to the english description.  Like many of the quests on Thobott just say the Name of the person to talk to and not locations...since the Chinese name is different and I couldn't read it if I tried then it doesn't help much.  Not to mention with a lot of items since several different things have the same icon.  But I did take a look at Thobott and for some things it was a great help.  Would anyone know where I could find a complete picture of the world map??  All I have found is little ones of each area...the problem is that I don't know where in the world they are located in the game.   Thanks!!

Have you thought about contacting Blizzard support?  It is what they're there for. :)

Thottbot has maps showing where the NPC is for most quests, or in the comments, they usually explain exactly where to go/what to kill/ who to talk to in order to get the quest done.

The only problem with the Thottbot idea is that they do tell me who to talk to and where to go exactly...but I can't read the names of the people I meet and so I often get confused.  Another thing is that I don't have the coordinates to go by either...I don't know if they have them or not but they don't show up on mine.  As for what to kill- that's a little easier to do by following Thottbot...but that's only when I find  a computer that allows me to access it.  I don't know why but many internet cafes block some websites for some reason...and many do block this one along with hotmail.  So when I do find a computer to look at thottbot I either have to remember it or write down the basic details and then hope I do something right.  I just wish they would allow an english version on the chinese server!

why don't you just try another server? an english one
