I am just not sure what is the point of them. I think blizzard should have come up with a beter class because not one person i have heard from is going to be a Priest. What would be a good replacement???

oh man i am totally going to be priest.  If they were mere healers, then yes they would be not so great, but they have all this mind controle/minipulation power that is  going to rock.  Priest will definatly be one of my first charicters.

I know many you are you going to be priests including me.

There healing, buffing, and mind controlling spells will be useful and this class will be a valuable asset to guilds and parties in raids and guild wars.  Expect to see more priests as game progresses.

There is a level cap on monsters priests can control. And it was also stated that they cant control "unique" monsters AKA high level named mobs. And I'm making a priest as my first character.

I am guessing that Nerothos is making an Undead Shadow Priest :GRIN:

I am going to be a human female priest.  I am just drawn to that type of character.  My EQ main was a human female cleric :)

Why would you want to take the class that heals out of the game. Have you ever even played a MMO before. From what Blizzard has said Priests have the best healing and crowd control spells in the game.

well leme state this what warcraft game doesnt have a healing character?? come on man WHY WOULD THEE BE NO PREISTS i mean shadow words there will be dark and light preist how tight will that be. id like to see a party with two types of preists in it.

NE female priest.  only because my main in ac2 was a female tumerok healer.  ressurect would have been a lifesaver, if i'd have goten before i quit.  the one skill to heal vitae penalties was a bit overrated.  i ended up having lines of tanks begging for it.  :P  and it has a huge recast time.  i sit for ten minutes to heal ONE player to full from 60%.  it sucked.  but i always play clerics in d&d, everything else..... i dunno why.  i guess i just like it.  :P*smirk*

i'm sorry, but you have something really wrong if you think priest won't be played, or aren't needed or any crap like that.

I also plan on being an undead priest. They have a much larger range of spells other than heals. These include mind blast, psychic scream, and a bunch of other 'Shadow' spells, as there is an entire talent tree dedicated to these type of 'darker' spells. Whats so wrong with the best healing class in the game? I'm on alliance and I know most groups always want to pick up a priest or druid, but in my opinion Druids do not compare in healing or crowd control.

Ive posted alot today lol. Priests are really important to tanks and those who cant heal themselves. I am making a priest with my brother the warlock and my friends the warrior and rogue. Healing is real important in this situation (lol) so this is an interesting example of why healing is important and really fun. Some of the BC spells will be hard to manage for shadow priests though. Like shadow word: death. If you cause alot of damage but the enemy doesnt die, you may die yourself. The healing spells are great though. DONT MOCK THE POWER OF THE PRIEST! (hehe)

I have a 60 shadow priest you have to have alot of patienc... if your a guy who likes to be in the action then don't be a healer

Actually a healer in pvp is always at the front-lines; lotsa action for them.

A shadow priest may be called to defend; losing them alot of honor.
