Hey im a lvl 21 Pally on Bloodhoof and i just started battle Grounds and i wanted to know what a good build was so i can be good at battle grounds so please helpa pally out!!!! :GRIN:

Ready for the bad news?: tuff here it is.

Paladins are a very huge joke in pvp.  Very huge joke.   Your class is group support backup tank.  Sadly not really the paladins role im used to in other mmorpgs I have played.  no I dont own a paladin.  I do kill them often though.

The only thing that makes paladins hated is there abillity to make a fight last 2 years....a prepared fighter will kil you easily.....most paladins that I have died to always delay me so long that help arrives....never have I had trouble one on one full hp vs paladins.

It's a poorly used job in Bg.....people try to play warrior with them....but hit like a panzy.....if you want to build honor points....play group support with it....heal...use your group buffs....assist kill.   

No this post isn't comming from hate for alliance. But the only thing most dislike about paladins is they make a fight last for 5 min just about....and it is annoying as hell.

um thanks for the replys but im looking for a good build really it doesn't have to be great against pvp i just don't want to get pwnd in five secs and want to at least do some dammage

I dont recall what my guildie said his pala was....just remember use 2 handed weapons.  They preach that if you wana do dammage.

As for builds you are on your own...I don't think I have seen any paladins post here lately.

Lol here comes the paladin!, ok you have 2 choices, Holy/ret spec (20/0/31) or the funner one, Holy/reckoning spec (This one depends on what you like, you can go ret/reck, holy/reck, full prot/reck, but in the nature of pvp, a mix of holy,ret,and reck might be good, so i would say 12/25/14 might be good way to go, again its on personal preferance) Hope it helps

Valewalker, paladins are excellent class to pvp with, at least from my experiences in 29 BG anyway. With the right spec gear they can do as much dps output as any class at that level, and have the extra survivability of being able to shield, bubble, being immune to movement impairing effects with blessing of freedom and other excellent abilities such as lay on hands or merely hammer of justice.

Your lack of knowledge in the matter, as highlighted, derives from the fact that you have never actually played the class nor give it a chance.

Well first off dont listen to Vale. Paladins play a VERY important role in BGs expecially WSG. With the ability to cleanse poison and remove movement imparing affects paladins make excellent flag runners.

Just turn on crusader then judge your target, turn on SoComm and pwn him.

thats total bullcrap Valewalker saying pallading suck in pvp etc. most likely the pallys u pvped werent good players and had skill tree messed up.

there are many ways to build pally, my recommendation to whoever tries to build a good pally for malee is go protection tree until u make Reckoning 5 and the rest invest in Ret tree and get 2h weapon. that build is good for both pve and pvp. pallys have 2 bubbles and instant heal skill. when reckoning activates and u bubble urself and have fast wep u'll bring opponents hp to less then half if they're not dead.
