Undead, The Best Mage Class?

Does any1 else think the Undead is the best race for mages?

Lets say for example, an Undead Mage runs into a Human Mage, both exact same levels, skill, etc..

The undead can't be polymorphed, so obviously he'll start with the poly process, then proceeds to pyro, nuke nuke.. etc.

From the start the human is at a disadvantage, and 99% of the time they will lose this fight.

Secondly, undead mages can summon a horse at level 40 for only 20g, 80 g cheaper then other classes.

My question here only concerns the mage class. Is the Undead mage, SUPERIOR to all other mages at the same level. I think it is.

Especially in PvP, I think if ur an undead mage running into other mages of different classes, you will see a lot turn and run.

Polymorph is a pretty useless spell except maybe to get the initial drop on someone since it fully heals its target. Second, since Undead players are now classified as Humanoid and not Undead, I don't think they kept their resistance to Polymorph when they lost their vulnerability to Holy magic. Then Humans have the advantage of 5% spirit bonus and Gnomes have the 5% Int bonus and the crits that come with it. And you can't fight on a horse, so its only good for travel, certainly not pvp.
I'll kick the crap out of an undead mage the same way I will anyone else. With lots of fire.

Considering your a high level mage, I can't believe you said Polymorph is useless.

Undead mages are NOT susceptable to polymorph, contrary to what you said, they still kept their immunity to it.

Polymorph is essential in PvP, when its 1v1 atleast. Poly, heal completely if not at full health/mana. Cast pyro, and you've put urself at a substantial advantage.

I said poly was useles except maybe to get the initial drop on someone. And I'm still pretty sure that except for the 15 second usable talent that undead got, they're not immune any longer. All this still depends on being 1 on 1 with another mage. I'll admit I haven't PvP'd a lot, but I still don't think you kept your total immunity to it. And its enough to make me just turn around and run any time I see an undead mage? I don't think so.

No race has passive immunities to anything now. All of the passive immunities have been changed to be skills. Undead players are considered humanoids by the game. All in all the racial traits aren't very powerful in the big picture and they are very well ballanced as well.

Personally, I like how trolls have beserk. It really helps if you are getting close to losing a fight. Even though I do agree that undead mages are nice. The mana pools for both are respectable.

I've decided that with all the faction grinding required at 60 (Molten Core for infinite use Aqual Quintessences, Cenarion Circle for AQ 20 quests, Brood of Nozdormu for the Signet Ring of the Bronze Dragonflight, Zandalar Tribe for shoulder enchants from ZG, Argent Dawn for enchants, items, and Naxxramus, plus other races if you want their mount) that the single best racial ability for a mage is the 5% faction bonus from humans. Cuts out on SO much boring page collection, scourgestone farming, etc. 5% doesn't seem like a lot until you realize it's like 100 hours per faction times 5 factions is 25 real life hours.
