Killed 10 Boars Posts: 18 Joined: 23 Sep 2003 | Meh. Powerleveling is evil. Do quests; you'll get more reputation points, you'll get nifty loot as quest rewards, and really you will level at about the same rate as you would from grinding. Unfortunately, I was kind of forced to grind due to my professions (leatherworking and skinning), and looking back I regret not questing more. |
How I Mine 4 Fish? Posts: 90 Joined: 12 Sep 2005 | I agree. Also, Warcry Scout from this site is fabulous for questing. You can look on warcry (or other websites) for coordinates to quest items and when you enter them it puts a dot on your map and mini-map. Grind a bit for a diversion when you feel like it. By questing, you get xp for killing the mobs, and you get that extra bonus xp for the quest. Always make sure your charactor's picture has zzz on its border when you logoff. This means you are in an inn or major city and are resting. When rested you get double xp for mobs you kill. Get the quest rewards and also take up a gathering profession like mining, herbalism, or skinning. You will get extra cash by putting the items you gather (and green items that drop) up on the auction house as you level up. This way you will always have the cash to take the grypons and occationally upgrade your armor and weapons. Many people enjoy a crafting profession, and make things to sell, but you could just as easily just gather on two professions and just sell the mats. Why should you care about money if all you want to do is level.... your mount. Leveling past 40 will require a lot of travel, and a mount is great for getting you there. Good leveling, but have fun on the way up!! Dadanox - lvl 60 Hunter |
