I was thinking about playing WoW, and the druid in particular.  Does the Druid get a slow spell similar in EQ? And also, was wondering if anyone knew if the Warlock got a slow spell either.

The druid has a root, the warlock doesn't have any slow, so they are seem perhaps a bit incapeable of catching stuff running, but do they have ranged spells both. Fear is decent, and should allow you to get within distance to throw dots and if that happens, it doesn't matter much if you run :)

Warlocks do have Curse of Recklessness which stops a mob running away and getting friends to attack you.  Druids also have Hibernate, a 20 second 'sleep' spell and can mollify some beasts to not attack unless you get within a certain distance.

Sleep is a 'crowd control' ability that prevents beast-type mobs from acting for around 20 seconds. Soothe animal is the ability that reduces the range at which a beast type mob will attack you. Besides that, druids have entangling roots, which snares the target in place and prevents movement, while causing a small amount of damage. However, it is not very reliable, since it breaks easily on damage, even its own. Finally, druids can shapeshift out of snares, and have increased movement speed in various forms, so that we can gain distance from players/mobs.

Warlocks have curse of exhaustion, which is a slow, but its only 10%...so its not that great, and it prevents you from using another more useful curse.
