hey does anyone know if druids will have an ability (thats good) whatsoever of wielding a sword or blade??

druids can wield daggers but no swords, but they can use 2 h maces and 1 h maces but you ought to stick to staff.

Although I agree that staves are a natural druid's weapon, you should skill up with daggers too.  There seems to be a lean patch between lvl 16 and 20+ for staff drops and there are some quests that give good daggers.  The benefit of daggers is that they are faster and also you can carry an offhand device that adds to your char statistics.  So you have to weigh up the balance of staff vs dagger(dmgx2) + offhand in order to arrive at the rght solution for you.  Since WoW, thankfullly, gives different drops then you route to greatness might be different from anyone elses.

I hear that Omen of Clarity with a fast dagger can be very effective!
