Should they grow in size as they get larger? (thinking or warrior form, bear etc) |

Adventurer Posts: 278 Joined: 16 Dec 2003 | the big difference between tauren vs elf is that elf is meant to be a casting druid where as elf is the casting druid. the reason for this is that tauren have much more str then elf does. on top of that str they get a huge boost from when they shift shapes. now elf has a good amount more int then tauren does so that makes their roots more effective moon fire more dmging etc etc. so both have their sides. |

Master Looter Posts: 1903 Joined: 10 Nov 2003 | the bear form's and the cat form looks different. for the night elf, the bear form is more purpleish brown, and the bear has long ears, while the tauren druid's bear is a little larger than the NE bear, is more brown and has horns. the cat form for the NE is a Nightsabre, while for the Tauren it is a Lion with horns. the other 2 forms (aquatic, travel) look the same between the 2 races. |
Power Leveler Posts: 4443 Joined: 30 Apr 2003 | can you use your tauren racial stomp ability while shapeshifted? It would not really make sense, as in your shifted form you would not have a thick tauren hoof to stomp with. Certainly stomping while in aquatic form, or cat form, would not make sense. |

How I Mine 4 Fish? Posts: 50 Joined: 15 Jun 2005 | How i think of it is that the Night Elf is more like the caster and the Tauren is more of the Tanker. |
Dungeon Crawler Posts: 677 Joined: 13 Jan 2004 | honeslty its the exact same niether race gives any bonuses that are really that great that it sets them apart - except the stomp by the taurens its kinda like a second natures grasp which can be great !!! bodge having more dodge when you wear leather is also nice lol - so it really comes down to what race looks better to you ? |

You cannot use warstomp while shapeshifted. |
Killed 10 Boars Posts: 14 Joined: 7 Nov 2006 | Tauren druids are better... we have war stomp. What do NE druids have that makes them better? Oh wow an imp stealth that they cant move in? |

I have played both races (NE druid to 60...balance) and there is NO difference in playing. The looks are the only real difference. Yes, Taurens have the war stomp, but it is usless when shifted and NE's have shadowmeld, again usless when shifted. There is a difference in strength/intelligence, but that become negligable at around 30 or so and depending on your spec. Plus gear can shift that difference. Both have very interesting storylines so I don't really see that coming into play (IMHO). So, it comes down to do you want to be a horde or alliance player. |

Incorrect. Shadowmeld also has a passive ability that makes it harder for others to detect you while prowling, equivalent to about 2-3 levels of MoD. So if you plan on doing a lot of Cat-form, NE is the way to go. Less HP, better stealth. The most preposterous notion that Homo sapiens have ever dreamed up is that the Lord God of Creation, Shaper and Ruler of all the Universes, wants the saccharine adoration of His creatures, can be swayed by their prayers, and becomes petulant if He does not receive this flattery. Yet this absurd fantasy, without a shred of evidence to bolster it, pays all the expenses of the oldest, largest, and least productive industry in all history. |

Anyone know if the Tauren and the Nightelf have different forms, which they can shape shift into? I said it in another post but... a Nightelf changing into a bear would seem a little intimidating just because of how much you grow in size, if a Tauren changed into a bear as well it just wouldn't have the same effect. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Hmmm so I'm wondering do the Nightelfs and the Tauren Creature forms vary from each other? And if so what do you guys think would best be suited for each one?
