how about an aztek warrior from 4049, with the ability to stand and talk at the same time?

A nice class could be Mechanic or something. They would be available to dwarves and gnomes. They could be kinda like the Goblin Tinker is, all skills and spells based on gadgets.

well about the adding of new races they could do that in an expansion.  Open up a gateway to Draenor where the 3 new races live (Naga, Blood Elves, and Draenei).  Also adds a third teams so really doesnt mess up the balance.  But the game isnt even released yet.  I dont want them to release WoW then have an expansion come like 6 months later, give it a year at least.

Again a new class would just screw balance of game imo

actually we need another pure melle class and hero classes btw  dreanor is now called outland and we need a fourth race for outland if u strive for balance

I actually heard people suggesting that in a new expansion they should make a new faction - The Scourge. Also, should have their 'faction only' class be a Deathknight of some sort.  A Shadow/Deathknight is one type of class that is missing, along with some type of crowd control class such as possibly a bard or enchanter.  Just some things I have heard.

If they did a scourge, would the undead join it, be free to choose, or would you have to start a new Undead character to be a part of arthas' forces instead of sylvanas?

Sounds complicated.

Only, methinks, if you make it complicated. Blizzard have a long time to figure it out.

A possibility: As it is written in the Blizzard lore, the Forsaken are plotting to destroy all life in the world of Azeroth. Most likely they will fail. And probably get caught too. What then? Perhaps The undead will *have* to join forces in order to survive.

I'd rather see the forsaken split into two factions, one that wishes to destroy all life, the other being some sad neutral version clinging to the remains of their life and wishing for a cure. The destructive group can go ally with arthas or something.

Just not enough angst in the current storyline of WoW without the blood elves, naga, etc being in. I always had a soft spot for anti-heroes.

as much as i would want the scourge to be a playable faction (i love them) i think it would be much more reasonable for blizzard to add illidans forces as a faction, as he has many races backing him up. it could be this:

blood elves

naga

sayters

drani, or forest/dark trolls

arthas only has his one race backing his army, as numerous as it is though.  if it were up to me, i would have blizzard remake the whole game on expansion like this:

aliance:human, Night elf, high elf, dwarf.

Horde: orc, troll, tauren, goblin/ogre

Scourge: Undead, dark human, crypt lords, fallen high elf

but then that takes blood elves out of being playable, and, i dought blizzard will want 4 factions, so, who knows.  just have to wait and see

LOL

i read the first few posts... and only two of the ideas for a new class had something to do with warcraft.

the death night and the necro.

what about a beast master or something..

Oh, so anything concerning Illidan and his forces is irrelatable to Warcraft? That's a strange theory indeed

EDIT: Spelling corrections

in the expansions (if there will be any) classes like a, witch doctor, or a blademaster, maybe even a battle crier or somthing would be awsome

It never fails to amaze me how strange some people are. I give you credit for not outright claiming every post on this thread is like the 3 posts you read, but come on, have you ever read a thread in which page two or three is even on the same topic?

Maybe you havn't even made it to page three before :)

Arch...the Warlock is already pretty simlilar to a Necro, and the beastmaster will never be a class in a game that has any significance? why have beastmasters anyway when WoW will have hunters?  Deathknight is good, Enchanter is somethin I just thought of out of the top of my head.

Beastmasters are still something fun. They will be like Warlocks only more summons and less different spells like Life Drain. Every spell somehow relative to the summons.

huh? Why would a Warlock be a Beastmaster? If u ask me a beastmaster would have more in comparison with a Hunter than a Warlock. A Beastmaster could be a specialized version of the hunter; this class could go into the 'pet' aspect of the hunter class, specializing more and more in that; until able to have multiple pets at once.

First of all, he said that they are LIKE Warlocks, not that they are one.  You have done this with many recent posts.  You should read the posts thoroughly before you post a reply.  He said they will be like warlocks, but only with more summoning capabilities, and less dark magic, like life steal, and death blast or what not.

Yes, I would like beastmaster as well.

I worry they would overshadow the hunter though, who is kind of setup as the premier pet guy. THey would need something to keep them seperate in the pet department in addition to probably being melee instead of missile.

Perhaps a split path through talents would be better than a whole new class. Giving the beastmaster extra, but weaker, pets. I dunno.

Speaking of Assasins, that could be it.

Two pet oriented classes would be utterly useless.  The Hunter and the Beastmaster, hmmmm.  Show me some differences and any diversity a 'beastmaster' could be.  A new class should be a type that isn't similar to anything else, or at least has some type of opposite counter-part.  What could the Beastmaster possibly do that the Hunter already couldn't?  Don't say 'be a caster'  becase all your doing is replacing arrows/bulletts with magic bolts.  Don't say be 'pure melee'  A hunter can melee somewhat already (Duel Wield)  Though it is limited, it's there.  2 faction specific classes will do just fine.  The deathknight for the Horde/any new faction.  It's the alliance side that gets me.

I agree with both of you.  Games that offer tons of races/classes tend to become too simliar to each other.  The point of all the classes in my mind is to set characters to be different from one another.  It seems that too often when you play games with a boat load of races/classes you end up having the same character as everyone else.  Games like WoW don't brag about being able to have every player in the game look different (Like City of Heros).  In WoW you might not be able to customize your characters appearance that much, but you can be sure that your class and race is going to make you stand apart from everyone else's.

I like the talent system becuase it makes chars have more deversity even though they are the same class.

i sure hope they dont add samurais or ninjas because thats one of the reasons i left FFXI it felt to asian and i always felt like an outsider for being american..instead i hope they add a death knight and/or a necromancer i think that would feel more like WoW the samurai and ninja :CYCLOPS:

Even if they do add a samurai or ninja class (which I think is unlikely), it will still have an american feel, being designed by americans and on an almost entirely american server, as opposed to FFXI which was designed and primarily played by asians.

Geomancer Idea, By Loren

The geomancer has a mana bar, and has mastered the elemental magics of earth, fire, and storm (water/wind combo).

Casting a spell gives the geomancer 1 focus point. The geomancer can have a maximum of 5 focus points on a single target.

More powerful spells, and all of the geomancer's summons, require focus points.

Geomancers can summon elemental pets, such as water golems, earth elementals, fire golems, etc. Water golems have a ranged attack, fire golems have immolation and are OK tanks, and earth elementals have high armor so they are pretty good tanks - although they don't have as much damage output as say, storm or fire.

Nice idea there, Loren. There are already geomancer npcs in Loch Modan, it would be neat to have them as a class or hero specialization of a mage or something.

Omg i hate the idea of ninja and samurai(sp idc) it is so boring to me. i dont see what everyones fascination with stealth and stabbing someone in the back is? its just too boring to me. I cant help but say this and that most people who want ninjas are little nerds who sit there and dream about revenge all day its just the lamest thing in the world to me. Sorry had to throw my two cents in on that. But no matter what that class idea always comes up. So lame so boring too much of an idea on paper to me. Plus it doesnt even go with warcraft. When has there ever been a ninja...or samurai incorporated into this game? there thats my three cents. Enjoy flaming on me because ninja ideas BLOW!!!!

The only thing that would support a new class in Wow would be the introduction of a new race, for me it seems that they already have covered nearly all different classes you can have in a game as it has been pointed out with necro and beastmaster that the existing classes have been so general made that they can cover up for classes as necromancer, death knight, ninja and beastmaster that have been mentioned.

Only class I can come to mind is a Blood Elf Spellbreaker that could use the mage spells against themself, like a spell reflection ability.

Monk.. monks are my favourite, if they were in game thatd be sooo cool...but then again, you could go extreme and be a cloth wearing warrior with just hand to hand combat
