I've been on since 3.02 and I can't believe the constant flow of negativity, firstly for a couple of days, all I was hearing was 'OMG Blizz sucks can't even keep up a lousy server when half the planet logs in at once' 'damn blizz give me free money you suk for my downtime'.

(To which I replied with 'Hey, have 1.5gb of free new content as payment for your whole 2 days of imperfect gaming')

Now the zombie event, turns out its not perfect for everyone. So the city trade chat is full of 'omg blizz stop the zombie crap I cant do anything this is so unfair!' and other such well argued points.

Then onto achievements, people actually complaining that players are playing the game to get achievements that don't do anything, they're just their for fun, its almost like they're playing the game just to enjoy it, lynch them!

Honestly, if I was Blizzard, I'd be wondering why I bothered patching it after release...

Anyways, I've been away a few weeks before patch 3.02, and now I'm back and I'm loving the game far more than before, its so lively, so many people are just DOING things instead of hanging around hoping something happens that they can join in with.

Achievements have encouraged 70s to go back and see what Onyxia, LBRS, MC, AQ etc were like, it means people are actually offering help on a lot of instances now, as 70s seem to go 'well, I want to tick Deadmines off my achievement list, I may as well take 4 low guildies with me!'

To me, its the greatest time it's ever been, and I'm firmly looking forward to when WOTLK hits, tho we've got some fun events set for the 12th to see off the old world!

as far as the zombie event, i hope blizz responds to all the QQ tickets with an auto response along the lines of "Happy Halloween"....and nothing more.

I was drinking all night watching /2 chat and laughing. Nerd Rage at its best.

Too right, dammit, they invest so much time and manpower into adding a totally new and temporary gameplay element, and whats their reward? People complaining that they don't like it and threatening to /ragequit .

Guys, if they go from 10 million to 9.9 million over this, I'm sure they won't shut up shop, they're Blizz and I believe, and hope, that they'll keep trying new things!

Not to mention threatening to quit isn't the same as actually staying away from the game. Most true WoW addicts can't do that for long. :)

Zombie event is awesome. Sure it gets annoying being slaughtered going into town and not being able to craft for fear of zombies. But hell that is the way a zombie invasion should be. Playing zombie is great!

Hate WoW, not for any stupid patches, but how terrible they are at balancing a fair game.
Yes, I played a hunter.
After YEARS of terrible representation and zero response from Blizzard (hunter forums went over a year without a blue post) I gave up and quit. WAR came along, and I love it.
Now, all my RL friends still play WoW, so I will probably go back to try after WotLK, but I won't be happy about it.

ya, hunters arent good enough? LOL like having ranged attacks, heavy armor,cc traps, tank pets, self buffs isent enough. Maybe learn to play the class better.

I'll tell you guys something, after months of looking like

I am starting to get bored of wow too. I mean after sunwell and with the expansion coming out I just know it's going to be more of the same. Also, while yes I am getting bored of the way I look, I mean look at the gear I got! Do you know how hard it is to eventually get all that?! Now I am never going to use those things again because they will get tossed aside by some uber epic that drops in Northrend! In fact forget about uber epic, I wouldn't be suprised if I picked up a green with better dps...this is the one complaint I have about blizz is that they always make their shit insane.

I mean look at Diablo 2. How powerful where you before the expansion? I know I never did more than 10k damage as a paladin in that game. Then came the expansion and I easily did 50k of damage with like a shit ton of armor to spare. How powerful does blizzard need to make their characters? Why not make fights more interesting instead of making them harder by increasing damage and HP. I dunno have a boss encounter where you have to play jeopardy against the raid boss or something. The chess event doesn't count that was a good idea with poor execution. I mean come on I solo'd that to get my shoulders!

Every time i get bored i take a break for a few months. I did when i got sick of BT, and i'm returning now. I took a break for a while after i levelled my first 70, then returned when they'd released more content. Or, if you don't like the idea of that, you could.. you know, quit?

I was actually bored with it to begin with, but my friends kept saying that it would get better when I reached lvl 70. It felt like I actually had to work in order to have fun with a game that I was paying for. I quit it a few months back.

I play it casually nowadays, and yes I still enjoy it.

I tired it a few times at a friends house and it pretty much took all my effort not to fall asleep or flat out ask them why would they keep giving money to this game. I understand others feel different about this game but that's my two dinky cents.

With the new introduction of Wrath, most BC contect is lowered in difficulty for those new Deathknights (BTW, if I were to choose 1 thing from Wrath, you must play the DK Story) which is also handy say if we are on the cusp of the level requirement and need only a small bit more for leveling.

Same, right now I'm at the bored again phase and have been there for about 3 months. I might go back in for WotLK.

I still enjoy it. But I mean. I hate having to level again thanks to WotLK. :/. And I must throw in a quote from Nyhm's song Death Knight Spree:

"Trading epics in for greens is a little degrading."

It really is. :[

Beta was quite a bit of fun to play. They promised epic warfare and real pvp but rather chose boring raiding and PvE

It seems to me that modern arguing is more about focusing on your strong points and the weak points of your opponents rather than a quest for knowledge and wisdom.

I tried getting back into when WoTLK came out after my friends kept telling me to, but I played for about a week and it just couldn't spark the interest I use to have with the game. Also maybe because I just don't have to time to commit to a MMORPG anymore.

I got into this thread a little late, but the interface made me lol.

Obviously an amazingly well geared rogue, must have been raiding for a loooong time to get that stuff, yet look at the action bars.... Rogues take 0 skill. I have a 70 rogue, it's 2 buttons :P

You should see the amount of crap I have on my priest's action bars just to effectively heal.

Well that's the thing, most of my heals are bound in healbot. I have about 25 binds in there alone, along with 6 full actionbars for all my other stuff.

Should be said, healing is terrible in WoltK, you might aswell just stand there twiddling your thumbs until the tank actually goes below 200HP for there to be any challenge.

Indeed it is, and currently there's never a risk of OOMing on even the longest or most crappily done boss fight.

Does make me laugh with the mages and locks drinking after every 2 or 3 trash pulls and the healers neverh aving to drink at all.

There are far far worse MMOs out there imo but even so I quit WoW a few years back feeling like I had outgrown what it had to offer and wanting something more from MMO's in general, as well as wanting a more mature crowd to play with.

for me it has had its day and although those days were mostly good, some bad.. now its time for something bigger and better.

I quit quite a while ago, mainly because I don't really have the time to commit to playing a MMO right now. However, the new expansion definitely looks appealing and I am having a hard time staying away.

I vote we start hitting them with a probation or temp ban for trolling so they can't get the Matrix badges.
