If there is a guild only for female WoW players......
What do you think of its future development?
Will it have a bright future?

Well how are you going to prove they are female, and why would it matter?

DM: From the deepest crypts crawls the undead thread, it's death rattle shakes you to your core. What foul necromantic forces brought forth this foul beast.
Cleric: I attempt to turn undead.
DM: You can't this is a WoW forum D&D magic does not work here.
Cleric: Well guys we are @#$%*%!
Wizard: Agreed, I believe this Necrothread was created by a dread ForumLych, impossible to stop, without a sense of humor.
Fighter: Very well I throw a badge or some other posting reward down at the necrothread and prepare a tactical retreat.
DM: The necrothread pauses at your offer, snaps up the reward and slinks off deeper into the internet.
Rogue: Phwew! That was close... I wonder if there are even more ancient Necrothreads ahead of us?
Fighter: We will only know when we continue on our journey through the crypts of Warcry.

vent is a good way to prove it, but then again every girl Ive heard on vent had crying kids+barking dogs+loud soup opera tv all at once in the background, and they all sounded fat, and possibly old.

and does it matter? no not realy.

is there an all girl guild?

maybe, and my guess is, chatting takes place more then gameing.

There are two all-female guilds on Bronzebeard, Daughters of the Alliance and Daughters of the Horde.

Yea, because sexual/racial/whatever segregation ALWAYS WORKS WELL.

My guess is that they were formed because the women in question had experienced too much bullshit from guys, ranging from patronizing over-politeness to really inappropriate tells to being refused entrance to guilds solely on the grounds of their gender. Personally, my GM flirts with me and I get to listen to all his personal problems, and I know he does the same to other female guild members. I doubt this is happening with any of the guys. It's tiresome but I put up with it.

Do I think an all-female guild is a totally groovy concept? Not really, but I can see why some women would want to trade in a bunch of sexist bullshit from guys for a bunch of same-gender bullshit from each other.

The gay-friendly guild I'm in has been around since WoW's early days, so while off-line your point is valid, in WoW? Not so much. It's less about segregation and more about finding like-minded folks. DotA and DotH have been around for years, and have support, much like my guild (and it's ally counterpart) and other similar guilds on Proudmoore.

That's pretty much why I'm in the guild that I'm in. While I've (begrudgingly) learned to ignore "that's gay" remarks in trade and other chats, I really grew tired of dealing with in in /guild so i sought out folks that shared the same sentiment/feelings.

When it's boiled down: the only people who care about guilds whose members are "all-girl" or "all-guys"(et al) are the folks who aren't part of that particular group...

EDIT: I've misread your post. I've thought you said gay-specific, as in gender-specific and so on.
There is nothing wrong with gender/orientation-friendly guilds. The ones that do segregate are the problem.

Finding like-minded folks shouldn't involve gender-filtering, that's what I'm saying. The best guilds I've been in were diverse. We've had men and women of different ages and orientations, starting with the age of 14 and up to the age of 50-something, and it was fine. The people who didn't share the standards could always leave - or be kicked, if they tried too hard to harm other members in one way or another.

That guild was awesome.

I agree with you, totally--the best guilds SHOULDN'T involve filtering. The problem (at least in WoW) has been that, sadly, it sometimes has to. What's worse is that, in my case, I had to leave the servers my "real life" friends played on in order to find a guild that I felt comfortable in.

While it's true that you can find awesome people randomly in "regular" guilds, some folks need to seek out... like-minded isn't what I want to say, but people of a similar background.

(For the record, my guild is very diverse: we have gay folks, straight floks, transgendered folks, the only requirements we have is that people are over 18 and understand and accept that they're in a gay-friendly guild. We accept all, we just want to not have to deal with immaturity. :) )

Geez, that's got to be nice. Looking for members?
