Worgen are an obvious reply to constant complaints that the Horde has all the bestial races, as were Dranei and Blood Elves. Blizzard ought to stay the course. Worgen I like, but Goblins? I would've gone with something more along the lines of say, Ogrekin or maybe a Gorilla-esque race. Now that I think of it though, if a Worgen got an orc mount... yeah they might be good on the Alliance. |

As for the worgen, I really rather had furlborg to be the new alliance race, I mean, Darkshore, Ashenvale, Felwood and Winterspring are full of them. In the night elf starting quests you just stumble over them, not to mention it are the fulborg that teach the draenei shamanism. They'd be perfect to function as: Warrior, Hunter, Shammy or Druid. From what I've heard, they're completely overhauling azeroth, which is a shame I think. I still wonder what mounts they're going to give to the new races though. I mean, what do worgen ride on, seriously? |

So many people would be re-rolling just to experience it all. Also I am looking forward to the raid scene. My WoW account started just before WotLK started so I missed out on the introduction raids, and now have to PUG everything to get gear. Overall I think it is a brilliant idea, and I think Blizzard are going in the right way with the game. |

Although I'd agree about Furbolg being another good choice instead of Worgen... User was banned for: We need to cull the internet. (Permanent) "... Probably horses, seeing how Worgen have a human form. Or at least that would be an easy way out. I think they decided on go-karts for goblins... which is both awesome and hilarious when it will come to taurens riding them. User was banned for: We need to cull the internet. (Permanent) "... Adventurer Posts: 292 Joined: 20 Oct 2009 | Both races are super cool. I wasnt exited when Drenei and Blood Elfs came...but i am exited now. I think everybody during his career of adventures in Azeroth has been thinking how cool it would be to play a gnome. But now the Ally`s are getting Worgen...cmon its almost as naming them Wolverine :S Or werewolfs. . .i think i might betray the horde and make a Worgen in an Alt realm just to check em out. its a big temptation. I would have enjoyed more a new class tho. The new races will bring more variety in the general picture when going to the Ah in ur faction`s major city. But thats it...new looks. A new class would bring alot more variety in terms of playing style. Althou ive played only mage, rogue and priest so theres plenty more to check out if i ever get bored. But still a new class would be cool. The new re-mapping is a great idea. I do want to remind ppl that you wont see Kalimdor and E. Kingdoms changes unless you activate your expansion. It all goes with the story you wont start level 1 and get the new things. Its progression. But it will be a relatively small expansion . . .couple of new zones. . .true they say there`s gona be alot mroe dungeons and raids . . . but ye with the only storyline revealed to be Deathwing . . . i am kinda sad :S |

If i didn't already HAVE a rogue, i might roll a Goblin Rogue for SWEET SWEET RETRIBUTION ON GNOMES! "See, Jimmy? And you said a manicurist had no useful role in a police investigation." |

Power Leveler Posts: 3428 Joined: 15 Jan 2009 | I plan on making a Goblin Hunter when Cataclysm comes out. I won't make a Worgen until a month after it comes out, because before than the Worgen starting zone will be FILLLLEEEDDDDD to the brim. Uh oh, you had better call the Waaaahmbulance! |

Looking For Group Posts: 133 Joined: 3 Sep 2008 | I like it, I think it's great they're redoing 1-60, because quite honestly, it became rather formulaic. Also, the gap between endgame (level 80) and endgame play is kinda huge. I hit 80 with my paladin and realized I still had a long way to go, and no one to go it with. I leveled to 80 missing a majority of the old WoW raids, so I was missing a hell of a lot of gear and rep, which as we all know is the merit to get you anywhere in endgame. I didn't wanna deal with more rep grinding and slugging it out for a spot in PUGs and my guild was simply too green for raids because most of our high levels deserted for the hardcore companies, it was the perfect storm of nowhere to go. I played for a few more weeks after hitting 80, mostly leveling alternates till I lost the will to go on. I think Cataclysm is going to flip the board for WoW and I might just get back into it when it launches Cooler than the average bear. |

Adventurer Posts: 246 Joined: 27 Oct 2008 | In all honesty, I'd've thought Worgen would've been on the Horde, but that may just be wishful thinking. I think it's a brilliant idea, though. Reworking everything is a positive change, though relevelling the zones will put many a pre-Cataclysm player in a funk, and be a pain in the ass for a good while. Yeah, sorry my fellow Horde members, but I'm rolling a worgen. They're just too bad-ass not to, I won't make one 'till (like someone said above) a good while after launch to avoid the Death-Knight-Syndrome that the starting zone will undoubtedly have. And I don't like the Goblins (though the go-kart mount'll be pretty sweet). Fear not! I will inspire you all by charging blindly on! You know, I'm one of the world's richest, most successful businessmen, so I think I'll occasionally dress like a bat and slap the bejeesus out of people. I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it. |
Power Leveler Posts: 3315 Joined: 4 Oct 2008 | I'm personally very excited about the Worgen, as they seem like an interesting addition to the Alliance, but what really has my interest piqued is the fact that all the racial traits are apparently getting significantly upgraded to be on par with the newcomers. Can't wait to see what new abilities my Forsaken character gets. Cookies need love like everything does. |
Iunno if a thread has already been made but anyway. Right to the Point! What do you guys think about the upcoming expanson? Personaly the Races.... i always thought Goblins were ment to STAY Neautral when it came to siding with horde or alliance? And the Class changes are ...interesting anyway ill leave you guys to speek your mind ^_^
