Well, ive been playing Lineage 2 for some time now, and this game looks pretty good. Is this game anything like lineage 2? And if it is how?

If i decide to play this game i would want to be a warrior. What race is better for a warrior? A human or an orc?

Well personally i feel this game has the potential to be the greatest MMORPG ever created. Look here: www.worldofwarcraft.com for details.

Human racial traits:

Perception - active
Activate to increase stealth detection radius by 10 yards - lasts 20 sec - 3 min cooldown
The Human Spirit - passive
Increase Spirit by 5%
Diplomacy - passive
10% bonus to faction point gain
Sword Specialization - passive
Humans get +5 to Sword skill
Mace Specialization - passive
Humans get +5 to Mace skill

Orc racial traits:

Blood Fury - active
Activate to increase Strength by 25% but take 5% health loss every 3 seconds - lasts 20 sec - 2 min cooldown
Hardiness - passive
25% resistance to stun and knockout effects.
Command - passive
Pet melee damage increased by 5%.
Axe Specialization - passive
Orcs get +5 to Axe skill.

So decide which suits your warrior best really. In beta i had an Orc Warrior and had a blast. Give it a shot... whatever takes your fancy! Hope this helps.

Play European Open Beta which will be soon, and make your decision on that =).

The game itself is great, stellar... Tons of fun. The delivery has been less than perfect. I recommend waiting at least a month or two to see reports on the server stability, which has been a major issue for me.

But I think that you need the European pre-order box that contains the account key to the final beta test.

Oh well - i'm in Europe and i won't be playing it even if i do get my beta key from my pre-order. If it comes anytime soon someone lucky can have it =). I just want the full game...

Having played all the current MMOs and older ones like Lineage 2, I recommend you take the leap.  The fundamental difference between this game and others is the philosophy it was built on.  Blizzard believes in rewarding gamers more than punishing them.  It is a brilliant concept and will most likely change the face of future MMOs.

As for race, it really doesn't matter - it is more preference than anything else.  However, I play both a human and orc warrior and prefer the Orc.  The entire Orc encampment and social structure is bent on being warlike.

About six of my real life friends and I had been playing L2 since Beta.We were having fun but we got the open beta for WoW and to my knowledge none of us has ever logged on to L2 again.
