WarCry's Week of WoW
We’ve shown you Burning Crusade screenshots. We’ve told you Burning Crusade stories. We’ve answered your Burning Crusade questions. We’ve invited you into our Burning Crusade databases. We’ve done the best we can to bring Burning Crusade to you. And now, with WarCry’s Week of WoW, we will bring you to The Burning Crusade ™.
Over the next week, 100 lucky WarCry readers will join The Mage They Call Jayne(z), Teleios, Drayvok, Kross and Sephirothlol in World of Warcraft’s ® first ever expansion beta, The Burning Crusade™. Through a variety of contests at all times of the day, we will give away all 100 of our Burning Crusade Beta Keys to you, our WarCry readers.
How?
Over the next five days (beginning November 06), we will run a series of contests, giving away 20 keys per day. These 20 keys will be given away to winners of two different types of contests, each having ten winners. The two types are:
The Daily Question – Each day, we will have one Daily Question posted in our forums at a random and different time. Those that post the first ten answers to the question who have not already won a key from us, and meet all eligibility requirements, win access to The Burning Crusade™ Beta.
Random Roll – The second contest each day is random in type, subject and time. You know, because variety is the spice of life, and all that.
Be sure to include your name, your WarCry user name and an email so we can contact you should you happen to win!
When?
Just to make things a little more interesting, we’ve decided to post these contests at random times throughout the day. However, we’re not without mercy. We will, at the beginning of each day, give you the specific hours during which we will post the contests, so you can do your best to be at your PCs and ready for whatever we may throw at you.
Where?
Check the front page of our WoW WarCry site for announcements of the individual contests. Also, keep an eye on the forums for the Daily Question.
Why?
“Why? Because we like you.”
Eligibility
Yes, there are a couple of rules to follow. We know, but it’s the way the world works.
First, you must have an active account in good standing as of October 8, 2006. This means your account must have been created and active on that date! If you have bought the game and activated after this date, or your account was inactive, or you have any little Naughty flags you cannot get in the beta through our contests.
Second, one beta key per person. We know some of you have multiple accounts, but we really would like to spread the fun around to as many people as possible.
Third, if you should happen to win, we must obtain some information from you. The needed information is:
- Your name
- Your WoW account name
- The email attached to your WoW account (This email must match that on your account. This is where the beta info will be sent, but it won’t go if it doesn’t match an active account in Blizzard’s directory.)
We must get all of this information, and it must all match the information Blizzard has regarding your account. If you aren't sure what this is, make sure you check your account settings. This information is not for our use, it is to send to Blizzard so they can give you beta access. We do not have beta keys in our possession, you will receive access directly from Blizzard after we provide to them your information.
If you win, we'll ask you for that information with an email to the address you registered your WarCry account with as well as a private message on the WarCry forums. Please do not post that information or send it to us unless we've asked for it - we don't want to know otherwise. If you do win a slot, but do not respond to us within 48 hours, we may select another winner in your place.
And of course, we have some words from the suits. Have a look at this, we’re told it’s important stuff.
Void where prohibited. No purchase necessary.
